The New York Times has praised flutist Beomjae Kim’s playing for its “memorable eloquence.” Beomjae [pronunciation: buhm-jae] has appeared in various concerts at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Kimmel Center and the Seoul Arts Center.

Winner of 2017 Astral Artists National Auditions, Beomjae is an alumnus of Ensemble Connect. As an orchestral musician, he has performed with the New York Philharmonic, American Composers Orchestra, Albany Symphony Orchestra, Opera San Antonio, and Korean Symphony Orchestra.
Beomjae is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Flute at Ocean County College. He has given guest lectures and masterclasses at Manhattan School of Music, Stony Brook University, California State University Fresno, Dickinson College, and Skidmore College.

Beomjae holds a bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College, a master’s degree and the prestigious Artist Diploma from the Manhattan School of Music.

He also serves as the second oboist of the Colorado Music Festival Orchestra and has previously served as second oboe and solo English Horn of Symphony in C (formerly the Haddonfield Symphony). An “eloquent” clarinetist with “incredible artistry” Russian-born Stas Chernyshev has established a versatile career as an orchestral musician, soloist, chamber musician, and educator (Dallas Morning News, Theater Jones). Principal clarinetist of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Mr. Chernyshev has performed at such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall in New York, Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., as well as in Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Russia, South Korea and Japan. A devoted chamber musician, Mr. Chernyshev has collaborated with Grammy-winning ensembles Eighth Blackbird and Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, commissioned new works for his instrument. He has been featured on WQXR -New York’s classical music station and WHYY’s television program – On Stage at Curtis. He is the founder and artistic director of Fort Worth Performances for Autism, and a co- founder of Opus Nova Chamber Music Series. Mr. Chernyshev holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Curtis Institute of Music, and a Master’s degree from St. Petersburg Conservatory.

Artist Bio

Hailed for her virtuosity and vibrant musical spirit, bassoonist Eleni Katz has established herself as a prominent soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. Eleni is a winner of the 2022 Concert Artist Guild Competition and has performed with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, the Sarasota Orchestra, and as a member with the New World Symphony. Other recent appearances include a 2022 fellowship with the Phoenix Chamber Music Society, Music Academy of the West, and Spoleto Festival USA. Eleni was a winner of Yale’s Concerto Competition and was a semifinalist in the Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition.

Artist Bio

Eric Huckins is a Long Island-based horn player, music educator, and arts administrator passionate about using music to communicate and connect. As a performer known for his “sparkling, crystal clear sound” (Brass Legacy) Eric is a winner of Astral Artist’s 2018 National Auditions becoming the first horn player to be a part of their roster.

Eric has performed internationally as a chamber musician, soloist, and with orchestras in Europe, Asia, and across the United States. He has performed with The Philadelphia Orchestra, Kanye West, New York City Ballet, and in numerous pit orchestras on Broadway. An advocate for expanding and diversifying brass repertoire, Eric regularly arranges and commissions new works, most recently leading a consortium to commission composer, Jeff Scott. Eric’s debut album ‘Drifter’ which features 8 new works for horn was released in 2021 on Summit Records.

Passionate about bringing classical music to his local community, Eric is the Executive and Artistic Director of Long Island Chamber Music and Director of Band and Instrumental Music at The Green Vale School.

Buddy Deshler

Artist Bio

Trumpet Artist Buddy Deshler is an ambassador for the transformative powers of the arts, champion of living composers, and agent for change in the instrumental music field. His burgeoning career has taken him around the country, as well as internationally, and has allowed him to share the stage with ensembles such as the King’s Brass, The Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass, Foden’s Band, his own Vice City Brass, The Phoenix Brass Collective, and was a member of the illustrious Dallas Brass for five years.

As an educator and entrepreneur, Dr. Deshler serves as President and Co-Founder of the nonprofit organization, “Brass Institutes of America”, a national brass association that provides festivals and other educational offerings to young musicians all over the country. Deshler is also an active member of the International Trumpet Guild and has occupied the role of Youth Day Coordinator, and has been a frequent clinician and session host of Trumpet Ensemble Reading Sessions and Chamber Music seminars.

Buddy holds a B.M. in Instrumental Performance and an Artist Diploma from the Frost School of Music, University of Miami, an M.M. from the Peabody Institute, Johns Hopkins University, and his D.M.A from Arizona State University. His primary teachers have included Phil Snedecor, Craig Morris, and Josef Burgstaller. He has held teaching appointments at the University of Richmond, Arizona Western College, SUNY Potsdam Crane School of Music, and is currently the Assistant Professor of Music at Furman University, in Greenville SC where he teaches applied trumpet, chamber ensembles, and music entrepreneurship. Buddy is also a performing artist for XO Brass trumpets, Denis Wick mouthpieces and mutes, and Smith Watkins cornets.

Kevin R. Dombrowski

Artist Bio

Kevin Dombrowski is the Principal Trombonist with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Second Trombonist with the Illinois Symphony Orchestra, and one of the Core Artists at the Lake George Music Festival. He is also the Adjunct Professor of Music in Trombone at Valparaiso University and Trombone Instructor at the Merit School of Music in Chicago, IL. Mr. Dombrowski has soloed with multiple orchestras throughout the United States and abroad including Aarhus, Denmark, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina, and Seoul, Korea. He holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music and the Yale School of Music. His principal teachers include Scott Hartman, Dr. John Marcellus, Lisa Albrecht, and Timothy Riordan.

Garrett Arney

Artist Bio

Garrett’s richness of sound identifies his sincereness and intellectual curiosity in his performance. He is the co-founder of two chamber groups, and currently runs Arx Music Association, also known as “arx duo”, a performance/engagement non profit organization. As a chamber musicia his passion for developing the genre of percussion music has inspired many composers and musicians through creative collaboration and workshops. Garrett has been a member of Arx Duo, Sandbox Percussion, Ensemble ACJW, and has performed with groups such as eighth blackbird, American Modern Opera Company, the Dover String Quartet, among others. He has performed in a variety of venues from the Royal Albert Concert Hall to a school yard in Yamoransa, Ghana, and gave the Carnegie Hall Premiere of Steven Mackey’s “Micro Concerto” in 2016. He continues to perform regularly around the country, while also teaching at a variety of universities as a guest. He has held regular adjunct/faculty positions at Peabody Conservatory, Michigan State University, Cleveland State University, University of Central Missouri, and Curtis Summerfest. Garrett continues to work to bring new artists into the fold of collaboration with percussion, performing and showcasing a variety of stories, creators of different backgrounds, and percussion music in a whole new light.

Artist Bio

Known for her quirky and engaging performances, Rosanna Moore is fast gaining recognition as both a harpist and actor. Comfortable performing as a soloist, chamber musician or orchestral player, she actively performs around the US and Europe. She has won accolades for her performances with the World Harp Festival, Marcel Tournier and Tierra47 competitions. Her writings have recently been published by both Harp Column and Contemporary Music Review.

In the coming season she will premiere ‘Extraordinary Motion: Concerto for Electric harp and Orchestra’ by Grammy winner, DJ Sparr across the US.

As an educator, Rosanna is the Professor of Harp at the University of Oregon and Opus Ithaca.

Artist Bio

Described as a “fevered” and “theatrical” performer with “a taste for the dramatic” (New York Times), having “remarkably strong, rich tone, terrific rhythm drive and technical brilliance” (Whole Note), and “adventurous musical personality” (Classical Modern Music), Barbora Kolářová is recognized as one of the foremost violinists to emerge from the Czech Republic in recent years.

Her latest projects include premiere performances and collaborative new works for violin including Pascal Le Boeuf’s “Imp in Impulse”, David Ludwig’s “Violin Concerto No.2,” Sheridan Seyfried’s “Capriccio for Solo Violin”, Alyssa Weinberg’s “Unstrung”, Antonio Sanz “Theme and Variations”, Daniel Withworth’s “Alma” for solo violin and electronics and most recently numerous works by Rain Worthington and Nicholas Hubbell.

Her debut album ‘Imp in Impulse’ (New Focus/Furious Artisans) consists of unreleased virtuosic solo works ranging from 1963 to the present by Jean Françaix, Klement Slavický, and Pascal Le Boeuf. Solo album ‘Imp in Impulse’ has been voted ‘Best of 2020’ by “An Earful” and Barbora’s performance described as “spectacular” with “as much personality as skill” (An Earful), having “considerable virtuosity harnessed to a nicely overarching expressivity” with a “very own personal stamp” (Classical Modern Music).

As a soloist and a highly demanded chamber musician she appeared at festivals such as the Haydn Music Festival,Young Prague Festival, 2012 Miloš Forman Festival presenting “Czech Music of the 60’s” in the National Arts Gallery in Washington DC, The Sound of Piano, Strings & Voice China International Music Festival in Xi’an, Malaysian Philharmonic Chamber Music Series, Curtis Summerfest, Artosphere Music Festival, Manchester Music Festival, Unruly Sounds, Philadelphia Virtual Phestival, Recital Stream, TURN UP festival and collaborated with orchestras such as the Czech Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, Czech Radio Symphony, the Czech National Theatre Orchestra, the West Bohemia Symphony Orchestra, the Limoges Orchestra, and the Academy Sinfonietta Orchestra.

In addition to touring internationally as a soloist, Barbora was as a visiting performing artist of the Czech Philharmonic (2013-2016), visiting concertmistress of the Orquestra Filarmônica de Minas Gerais in Brazil (2017-2018) and a Lincoln Center Stage artist (2016-2019). Barbora has received awards from a number of international competitions including Spotlight winner for Lincoln Center Stage, laureate prizes at the Golden Classical Music Awards International Music Competition in NYC, the Manhattan International Music Competition, and the Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition in Salzburg, Austria. Recipient of the Broadus Erle Prize and a holder of The Special Diploma at the Vadim Repin Master class Scholarship Competition, Barbora is also a laureate of the New York International Artist Association Competition, the Remember Enescu in Bucharest, Telemann Competition in Poland, of the Prague Junior Note and the Grand prize winner of the Michigan ASTA Solo Competition.

She holds degrees in violin performance from Curtis Institute of Music (BM ’12) and Yale School of Music (MM ’14), and is the co-founder and artistic director of the Lake George Music Festival. Her primary mentors include Pavel Prantl, Charles Avsharian, Arnold Steinhardt and Ida and Ani Kavafian. She is managed by Manhattan Concert Artists (MCA).

Timothy Peters joins the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra as Associate Concertmaster after spending ten seasons as Principal Second Violin of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. He has been invited to perform as a titled guest with many of the world’s leading orchestras, including Concertmaster with the Norrlandsoperan Symfoniorkester (Sweden); Principal Second Violin with the Dresden Philharmonic, Aalborg Symfoniorkester (Denmark), and Singapore Symphony Orchestra, and Sub-Principal Second Violin with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. He has additionally performed with the Houston Ballet, Houston Grand Opera, Sarasota Opera, and the Houston, San Diego, San Antonio, and Charleston Symphony Orchestras. He has served as the Concertmaster of the Spoleto USA Festival Orchestra and the National Orchestral Institute, where his performance of Strauss’ “Ein Heldenleben” was praised by the Washington Post.

Mr. Peters’ many solo performances include recital appearances at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts in Houston, Texas, and an appearance as a soloist on Garrison Keillor’s popular radio show, “A Prairie Home Companion”. His recent concerto appearances include performances with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, and the Maggini Ensemble (Houston,Texas). His live recital performances have been broadcast live on WFMT-FM (Chicago), WCLV-FM (Cleveland), and KUHF-FM (Houston).

As a member of the Brutini String Quartet, Degas Quartet, and Young Eight Octet chamber ensembles, Mr. Peters was a prizewinner at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and has performed in many of America’s prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall and Tishman Hall in New York City, the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. (on the 1699 “Ward” Stradivarius), the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, on the Raleigh and Chicago Chamber Music Society Series, the Jewel Box Series in Chicago, the Music Mondays Series in New York City, and on the Amatius Concert Series in Austin with the Grammy-nominated Enso Quartet.

A dedicated educator, Mr. Peters has given masterclasses at the University of Houston, Seattle University, the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, Appalachian State University, and the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, as well as in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, China, Brazil, and the United Arab Emirates. He has coached many young students in the Houston Youth Symphony and Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and was a featured presenter at the Suzuki Association of the Americas National Conference in 2010 and 2012 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Mr. Peters was a student of William Preucil at the Cleveland Institute of Music and Kenneth Goldsmith at Rice University.

Meet Michael, a world-class violist gracing the stage of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. He’s had an exceptional journey, from his standout role as Principal Violist with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra in 2022 to securing accolades in competitions like the Sphinx and Hudson Valley String Competitions.
His musical odyssey began at The Juilliard School, under the guidance of renowned mentors like Heidi Castleman and Misha Amory. He further refined his craft at the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music, learning from luminaries such as Roberto Díaz, Hsin-Yun Huang, and Ed Gazouleas.
Beyond academia, Michael has performed with celebrated ensembles like the New York Philharmonic and The Philadelphia Orchestra. He’s not just a remarkable musician; he’s also a dedicated advocate for musical education, mentoring students and directing orchestras.

“Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Mia Barcia-Colombo began her musical studies on piano at the age of four and switched to cello by the time she was eight years old. Mia spent her formative years studying cello at the Colburn School as well as USC Thornton School of Music with Eleonore Schoenfeld, where she sat principal cello of both the Colburn Chamber Orchestra and American Youth Symphony. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree at the Peabody Institute in Baltimore, Maryland, under the instruction of Amit Peled. Mia is a Los Angeles based cellist whose eclectic and diverse performance career spans multiple musical industries. Mia spends extensive time performing newly written and commissioned works with acclaimed contemporary ensemble Wild Up, and is starting her seventh season performing as a member of genre-bending group Nu Deco Ensemble in Miami, Florida. She also serves as a regular substitute cellist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, where she has performed extensively under the batons of renowned conductors such as Gustavo Dudamel, Esa-Pekka Salonen, John Williams, Thomas Adès, and John Adams.

Aside from classical performance, Mia has spent time in the studio recording for film, TV, and alternative artists. She has shared the stage with artists such as Billie Eilish, Bjork, Steve Martin and Martin Short, Ariana Grande, Bad Bunny, Robert Glasper, and Michael Bublé, and has also spent time writing and arranging string parts for bands on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show. Mia can be heard playing on soundtracks for films such as the 2021 remake of Westside Story (under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel), and Disney’s Oscar-winning animated feature, Encanto. She currently resides in Silverlake and spends her remaining free time teaching cello, hiking, and taking care of her fur-son/adorable puppy, Tony.”

Aizuri Quartet

Praised for his “entrancing” performances (National Sawdust Log), cellist Caleb van der
Swaagh is a versatile chamber musician and soloist. In demand as a chamber musician,
Caleb is an alumnus of Ensemble ACJW (now known as Ensemble Connect) and is a
member of counter)induction and Exponential Ensemble. An advocate of contemporary
music, Caleb is a member of Ensemble Échappé and Ensemble Ipse as well as performing
regularly with other leading contemporary music ensembles. As an educator, Caleb is the
cello professor at the Conservatory of Music at SUNY Purchase College.
A native New Yorker, Caleb graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University as part of
the Columbia – Juilliard Exchange program with a degree in Classics and Medieval &
Renaissance Studies. Caleb received his master’s degree with academic honors from New
England Conservatory and later studied at the Manhattan School of Music. His primary

Nina DeCesare

Nina DeCesare joined the bass section of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra in September 2020 after five years in the Oregon Symphony bass section. She has also performed with The Cleveland Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Detroit Symphony, the Seattle Symphony, the Houston Symphony, the Kansas City Symphony, the Sun Valley Music Festival, the Knights Orchestra, the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music, and the Oregon Bach Festival. Equally comfortable as an orchestral musician, soloist, and chamber musician, Nina regularly performs with Chatter ABQ, Third Angle New Music, 45th Parallel, Chamber Music by Candlelight, and Classical Up Close. In 2023, Nina presented a headliner recital at the International Society of Bassists Convention at the historic Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Alongside her busy performing schedule, Nina is passionate about teaching and mentorship and in 2022, she was appointed to the faculty at Peabody Conservatory. Nina is also on the faculty of Domaine Forget Academy and the National Orchestral Institute and previously served on the faculty at NYO Canada. She has presented masterclasses at the Cleveland Institute of Music, the Pittsburgh Bass Symposium, Michigan State University, Boston University Tanglewood Institute, James Madison University, and University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She has been featured as a recitalist and faculty member at the SF Bass Bash, the UNCSA Bass Day, Golden Gate Bass Camp, KC Bass Workshop, the Twin Cities Bass Camp, and the Rabbath Institute Los Angeles.

Nina began playing the bass while studying with renowned pedagogue George Vance, later working closely with Ira Gold and Hal Robinson. In 2011, Nina made her solo debut with the Chesapeake Orchestra in Southern Maryland, performing the Vanhal Concerto. In 2014, Nina completed her Bachelor of Music degree at Rice University, studying with Paul Ellison. During her time at Rice, she spent her summers at the Tanglewood Music Center, Sarasota Music Festival, Moritzburg Festival Academy, Wabass Institute and Domaine Forget International Academy.

Pianist Esther Park has performed as a soloist with orchestras and in recitals across the
United States as well as Asia and major European cities. Ms. Park has appeared as soloist with
many orchestras such as Houston Symphony, Yale Philharmonia, Corpus Christi Symphony,
Filharmonia Pomorska, Poland, Orchestra Filarmonica, Romania, Shanghai Philharmonic, China, Shreveport Symphony, the Juilliard Symphony, and the New Jersey Symphony.
Ms. Park gave a five-city recital tour in Korea, and has performed at the Juilliard Theater
in NYC, Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Halls’ Weill Recital Hall, Salle Cortot in
Paris, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Palau de la Musica, Valencia, Spain and on the
Dame Myra Hess Piano Recital Series, Chicago. She has appeared at the Music Academy of the
West (Santa Barbara), the Aspen Music Festival, the Bowdoin Summer Music Festival in Maine, the Tel-Hai International Music Festival in Israel, and the Van Cliburn-TCU Institute in Texas.

Ms. Park has been heard in New York on WQXR Radio station as the winner of the 52nd
Kosciusko International Competition and the Gina Bachauer Competition.
Ms. Park formed a piano duo with her sister, Sun-A Park in 2014. Duo Amadeae has
since won the Chicago International Duo Piano Competition, and has appeared in numerous
festivals, concerto performances and in duo recitals. The duo has been heard on WQXR as well
as part of the Horowitz & Stecher foundation’s piano series.

Ms. Park is the winner of the 2013 Jose Roca International Piano Competition and 2013
Russian International Music Competition. She is the winner of 2009 “Prix Amadeo” and the
2009 Chopin Gesellschaft Klavierwettbewerb. Ms. Park also received top prizes at the 3 rd San
Marino International Piano Competition, the 3 rd China Shanghai International Piano Competition, the 6 th Paderewski International Piano Competition, the National Chopin Competition (USA), Hilton Head International Competition, the 14th New Orleans International Piano Competition and is the recipient of the President Clinton’s Prodigy Award.
Born in Pusan, Korea, Ms. Park began to play in public soon after her first piano lessons
at the age of four. Ms. Park moved to the United States in 1995, after being accepted to the
Juilliard School’s Pre-College division. Ms. Park has completed the undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Juilliard School, studying with Yoheved Kaplinsky. Ms Park has also studied at the Hochschule fur Musik und Theater, Hannover, under the tutelage of Mr. Bernd Goetzke. Ms. Park has since received the Artist Diploma, Master of Musical Arts degrees and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees at the Yale School of Music under the guidance of Mr. Boris Berman. Ms. Park taught at the East Tennessee State University from 2014 until 2022. Since 2022, Ms. Park has been serving as the associate professor of music and L. Rexford Whiddon Distinguished Chair in Piano at the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University.

Artist Bio

Korean-American pianist Sun-A Park has won First Prize at the Olga & Serge Koussevitzky Young Artists Awards and prizes at the 4thSendai International Music Competition and the 58th Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition. She has been a soloist with the Yale Philharmonia, the Sendai Symphony Orchestra, the Houston and Albany Symphonies, the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra, and other ensembles. Park completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at The Juilliard School with Yoheved Kaplinsky and Matti Raekallio. In 2014, she completed the prestigious Konzertexamen program in Hannover
Musikhoschule (Germany) in Bernd Goetzke’s class. Park is a recipient of the Parisot Prize at the Yale School of Music, where she studied with Boris Berman from 2014 to 2017. She received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree under the tutelage of Boris Slutsky at the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University in 2020. Currently, Park is an Assistant Professor of Piano at University of Central Florida.
