Whatever you choose, we can’t wait to see you there.

Please note, patrons of our Victorian Tea and LGMF "Uncorked" Gala do tend to dress in slightly more formal attire, but it is not required to attend.

What time should I arrive?

We suggest you arrive 30 minutes prior to the posted start time of the event you're attending. Concerts at the Carriage House generally begin at 7:00PM, with doors at opening by 6pm at the earliest.

What can I do if I arrive early?

There is plenty to do before the concert! Enjoy dinner at the Lakeview Restaurant  or grab a drink from the bar at the Tankard Tavern, both at the Fort William Henry Hotel. For lighter fare, purchase a wine and cheese table on the Veranda for you and your friends and enjoy the view.

Once inside the venue, you can visit the LGMF merchandise or concessions table, read about the repertoire and guest artists in the program, or find a good seat to listen to the musicians warm up.

Life happens and we understand. Once the music has begun, the doors of the Carriage House will be closed, but our ushers will allow patrons to enter at a suitable break in the program. Once inside, an usher will be available to help you find a seat.

DURING THE PERFORMANCE

How will I know when the concert is about to begin?

Concerts start promptly at 7:00PM. House lights will dim to indicate the show is about to begin, at which time patrons are encouraged to make their way to their seats and enjoy the show!

How long do the concerts last?

Concerts at the Carriage House generally last about 2 hours, with a 15 minute intermission.

When is it appropriate to applaud?

Sometime in the 20th century, it became the norm to only applaud at the end of a piece and never between movements (a section of music within a larger piece of music). This tradition, however is changing in the orchestra world, and we encourage you to clap whenever you feel moved to do so, even if that is between movements!

Can I use my phone during the performance?

We ask that all patrons silence their phones upon entering the venue and refrain from using their phones while the music is being performed. In case of personal emergency, please feel free to step outside. It is okay to check your phone in between pieces or during applause.

Photography while musicians are performing is prohibited. However, please feel free to take pictures before the concert, during intermission, or after the concert to capture your memory — and share it on social media with #LGMusicFestival too!

What if I need to leave during a concert?

If you need to leave during the performance, the best time to exit the is after a piece is finished (during applause). However, we understand that emergencies happen. If you need to leave while the orchestra is performing, please slip out quietly (don’t let the door slam!).

What can I do during intermission?

Intermission is a chance for guests to stretch their legs, visit the restroom, or grab a drink or snack from our concession stand. All proceeds benefit our young musicians!
