DEATH OF CLASSICAL CONCERT SERIES

FRI, MAY 1 & SAT, MAY 2

7:00PM & 8:30PM (Nightly)

The Crypt under the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Avenue, New York, NY

We are proud to celebrate four extraordinary upcoming performances presented by Death of Classical, featuring artists from our LGMF alumni community. Join us in supporting the artists as they continue to expand the frontiers of classical music performance — blending bold creativity with deeply human expression.

  • Richard Strauss: Metamorphosen (arr. for string septet by Rudolph Leopold)

Missy Mazzoli: Dark with Excessive Bright

    Featured Alumni Performers:

    Barbora Kolarova, violin

  • Death of Classical reimagines the concert experience, presenting chamber music and opera in immersive, unconventional settings — from crypts and catacombs to atmospheric urban spaces — with the goal of bringing new life to classical music and reaching broader, contemporary audiences.

Seating for Death of Classical shows is extremely limited and often sells out quickly, so we recommend joining the organization’s mailing list for early ticket access, or considering donor support for priority purchasing at deathofclassical.com.
